New Law 8/2025: Supporting Rural Areas

The Statute of Rural Municipalities enters into force, aiming to curb depopulation and make it easier for more people to settle there.

Lower taxes on the purchase of homes located in rural municipalities:
4% in rural municipalities
3% in rural municipalities of special concern

Home renovations will benefit from the same tax advantages.

A 75% reduction on notarial and registry fees related to rural properties.
